A medium sized hardwood native to the coastal rainforests of northern NSW and southern QLD. Its timber has a fine, straight grain without clear distinction between the sapwood and heartwood. With a sweet “caramel” aroma this moderately hard timber has had a variety of uses over time including turning, carving, furniture and decorative veneers amongst others.
