Considered a highly workable softwood, praised for being lightweight, stable, and easy to cut, carve, and machine with both hand and machine tools. With distinctive early and late grown rings it is an easily recognisable timber. It was recently broken down from a larger block and could either be worked now or let season a bit longer.
